Apparantly, they dont work cross-region.

Well, PAL wont work on NTSC(j/u) and vice versa, I assume the same can be said for NTSCu to NTSCj...

I may be wrong

Virtual Console games don't contain updates...
They don't work because they don't work,
There may be a patcher or something in the future...

you can change the region, just not of the wad file, u have to alter one of the raw files then pack it into a wad.

so many sites/people/things say that installing pirated vc's on your N could in the future make your actions "traceable" hence "bannable"...
if so, why do people continue releasing it like theres no tommorow?

because Nintendo probably won't do anything about it. VC games are not enough of a profit to make Nintendo care.

Nintendo sold more than 10 million vc games by now! ... they make more money with vc than with mario galaxy and mario kart wii together!

the people who pirate vc games wouldn't buy them anyway, i only bought 2 NES games because i had spare wii points (converted from the nintendovip points)
