Is there a way to fix the Switch's connection issues? Every other device is fine, and before you say "Your internet is to blame!" or "your internet sucks!" you're wrong. It's definitley the switch.


Is there a fix for this yet? It's really starting to piss me off. I have to be like right next to the router. If I take like 3 steps away from it, the connection drops (I did two tests, one next to it, one about 3-4 feet away" it dropped from 25mb/s to less than 100 kb/s.

sounds like you have a faulty wifi chip. get it repaired by nintendo if you have a warranty for it.

a LOT. There are threads all over different forums, and it's one of the most common issues with the switch. It was HEAVILY reported when it was first launched. They even released an update which (I read somewhere) was meant to "fix" the issue, but it hadn't.

Tried the basic thing of changing the wifi channels on your router? You would be surprised how often that fixes issue with wifi.

It just has poor range from what I can see. Get a Wifi range extender.

Their standard adress is often http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1
If they haven't changed their interface, it's in "wifi" and it's called "wifi channels"

No problems with my wifi, have 2 consistent bars all the time in my room, speeds are great 50MBPS download, 15 Upload As by my IPS standard.

If you check under the Belkin. They often start with like F5DXXXXXX
That's the modelnumber of the unit.

See the "part" number in grey under the routers name? That's the number I'm looking for.

Obviously it's not your internet, but it might be your router. Switch is more than fast enough on any 5GHz band running at a decent speed.

Same thing with me. I have TP-Link 2,4/5G and Linksys 2,4/5G, on both max two bars.

I'm experiencing the same issue. If there's even one wall between my Switch and my router the connection is very unstable
