I've come to the conclusion the switch dislikes some types of router. Whether it may be software or hardware, I have made progress on wired for example by exchanging hardware in my network. It would not be a shock if wireless is similar. In my experience it hated my buffalo router, but loves my netgear just fine. Both have dd-wrt. No idea why it happens. So maybe if possible try using it on another router for wireless. Maybe take it to a friend's house or borrow from the neighbor.

Well, I have a Garbagelink Trash from Vodashit, and it works quite well.
My Switch sits in between an iMac, an XB1S, and a big smart tv, all of them connected to WiFi, and all of them work perfectly with 3+ bars.
Well, all of that works perfect except for the fucking desynching joycons.

I suppose some WiFi chips may be defective.

My speeds cut in half when I get 30 ft plus a wall away from my router. So far I haven't had any significant issues but I know ppl that can't play any game online unless they are a few feet away from their router.

I have the opposite experience than reported here. My android phone and my wife's phone both get a really poor WiFi connection in most rooms in my house and the switch gets a perfect reception in every room.

Must be defective, cause my wifi is pretty solid, 2 bars and got 50MBPS download, my downloads from eshop are the fastest is ever been. I remember downloading sonic racing transform on wii u, took over 24 hours, MUCH IMPROVED DOWNLOADS. I fell asleep waiting. :P

For the record, i have the same wifi setup i had back then i do now, nothing changed so yes is probably just me. :)
