Desmume had internet connectivity at one point but it was removed because Nintendo could tell when traffic was coming from it (not fully sure how) and take action against those connections.
I haven't played B/W enough to know much about the battle recording features but if it's like HG/SS couldn't he have done the match on a real DS, saved it, and played it back while running on an emulator?
No, what battlers do is they play the wifi match on their flashcart on their ds. Then they save the vid to their vs recorder and open it up and record it on the emulator.
The only reason they do this is because it looks more neat then if you were to record of a cam.
Lol now i know jaden is lying. i just got done reading his other post about how he has 2 bars on his pkm game and able to trade with GTS. GTFO YOU FAIL TROLL
What do you mean by WIFI in emulators, and what do the other claim to know when they say NO ?
I know at least one emulator that successfully uses WIFI with the Nintendo DS, and that is the mighty ZXDS.
In fact with ZXDS you can connect to the internet and download games from some legal (partially ) rom sites, as well as playing two players Spectrum games via local WIFI multiplayer.
So it's possible I would say, as some brilliant emulator author already implemented it.
EDIT:
Never mind, I reread your post and now I know you mean WIFI for a DS emulator for the PC.
I am able to go on Wi-Fi Mystery Gift, PDW and GTS on my DeSmuME.
And no, I'm not going to give it to you.
If you absolutely need it, well... search by yourself, just like I did.

I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
