I actually translated some of the rom (the text was uncompressed shiftJIS or unicode as I recall) and can assure you the game is good.

i played all the harvest moons from the n64 to the one on DS

havent played the SNES and gameboy color ones though

one question though: is this game going to be like most harvest moons onnly with fighting and storyline or is it going to be like a totally different rpg game with some harvest moon aspects?

Play all the Harvest Moon even the harvest moon 4 (if I remember correctly) for the gameboy colour...

It's harvest moon concept / marrage / plants/ etc but with rpg fighting monster added to it..

I'm a huge harvest moon 64 fan, but since then I haven't really gotten into any of the harvest moons. I've tried, but Harvest Moon 64 was by far the greatest harvest moon, IMO, so far and kept me addicted for a year.

As for rune factory, I'll definitely be giving it a try. I hope it doesn't let me down like previous harvest moon games though =/

I really hate Harvest Moon...cause I get so freaking addicted to them....Add making the game portable even makes it worse cause you can pretty much farm 24/7. I remember playing the GBA version and this girl I was seeing came out in a nighty wanting to get freaky and I was like, "OMG you need to wait my Pineapples are about to be ready for sale!!! I am gonna bank!"

It was then I realized I had a serious problem...turned off the game and sadly never went back.

I often wonder what life would have been like had I had my chance to sell those Pineapples =(

You're right though, they're far too addictive. And if someone asks what game you're playing and you says "Harvest Moon" and they say "Oh, what do you do on it" and you say "You run a farm" everyone thinks you're a loser....

Just been playing innocent life on the PSP, I asume that rune factory is ds exclusive as innocent life was psp exclusive (I think)

The whole marriage thing convinced me not to play, it's the worst of all HM games....

(as far as kid are concerned, im not to keen about just having a baby popout of nowhere in 6 weeks without your wife being pregnant)
