Just thought I'd make a poll for this.
There's been a very similar poll before... 3 months ago if I remember. Probably several others over the last few years. Is there a need for more?
So many polls and threads about this but the Browser War goes on. I use Firefox but I know a lot of people who prefer Chrome.
I use Firefox, but sometimes I use IE if a page messes up in FF.
For fastest I chose Firefox, not because I know exactly how fast each browser is, but just because it's the fastest of the two that I use.
I usually use Rekonq, but it's still in its infancy, so if a page doesn't load correctly, I'll switch over to Chrome.
Firefox for me, though it's definitely not the fastest...
Chrome for me, although if a page decides to fail at loading, I switch over to FF/Safari. (Safari runs faster on my PC than FF)
Opera FTW!!!!.... yeah, that was all i had to say
I use Firefox for downloads. If I'm not planning to download anything I use Chrome since it uses less RAM and my pc sucks.
Firefox 4 beta 9 its a little bit faster than chrome and opera in my opinion I have internet explore uninstalled so I can't test that one
FireFox is still my main choice .
Though i still use Chrome sometimes when i need to do a quick search .
Didn't expect that many to actually believe any of those four to be the fastest.
Sure, they would be the most popular since they are generally considered the best, but to actually believe they are faster than browsers with much less features, like text-based browsers that have next to no features at all, you really have to be pretty ignorant.
I believe the second question means: "What one is the fastest from the ones you use?"
Chrome 10.0 dev, switched from Firefox a couple months back. I love how it's so much faster in every aspect. As for extensions, Chrome nearly has them all, so that's not really bad anymore.
And that (practically) nobody uses anymore.
I love the speed and GUI of Chrome, but if there's a page that just won't work properly, I switch over to Firefox.
I use rockmelt, which is a chrome based browser with integrated facebook features and rss feed.
Kinda neat I guess.
I nearly always use google chrome. I find it fast, simple, and sleek without a load of add ons taking up half the screen on ie8.
If i want in private browsing etc. i use firefox.
If i want speed (especially at startup) i use ie 9.
The reason i don't use ie 9 all the time is due to it still being in beta and atm it seems to be a bit glitchy, especially with vista x64....
I use Opera most of the time, although I like Chrome's incognito mode.
I personally prefer Chrome for speed, but Opera for looks, definitely.
