Thinking of getting one or the other this one is on sale for $200 a Dell insprion (sp?) will use it for everyday use mostly internet and movie watching and older gaming.

CPU: intel core i3 3120m @2.50ghz
RAM: 8GB
HDD: 1Tb
HD 4000 graphics
17'' screen

or this one? A lenovo yoga 500 Which is $160

CPU: AMD A8 7410 @2.50ghz
RAM: 8GB
HDD: 250gb ssd
GPU is Radeon R5 (?)
15'' screen

Currently not sure which one I should go for I like both but which one is better in terms of all the stuff I want to use it for mentioned above.

The latter.

yes roast me for choosing AMD over intel:creep:

Now hear me out;
The AMD APU boasts better graphics oomph over the i3, sure the i3 probably has more cpu oomph but for tasks like web browsing and office use etc, the AMD's cpu is more than enough.

So yeah, the primary factor why I'm on Team Red in this case is because they have better graphics prowess as compared to what team blue has to offer in this case.

And get an eHDD if you decide to go with the AMD :P

Yeah I like the AMD one too but for movie watching I like the i3 more because of it's nicer looking screen.

Then again which one to choose ughhh

The i3 3120M is the better processor according to every benchmark I can find, the 1TB HDD is the bigger hard drive, and the 17" screen is the larger screen. I would get the Dell if these were my only two options.

Well, can't have everything.

It's Better CPU+ Larger Screen+ larger HDD vs Better GPU + Cheaper

The eHDD can always be bought :P
So if you get the larger (and apparently more beautiful screen) you lose out on the GPU power to push all the pixels in gaming.
And if you go with the AMD, you get a better GPU but lose out on the sexy screen.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ http://www.i2symbol.com/emoticons/whatever

I already have a external hdd ;)

The i3 won't be able to run the game that I want to play on it :( :(

Also the AMD has better cooling apparently when under full load.. I can't make up my mind now.
