Gaming Where to find Windows XP Themes...

I was going around the internet and noticed a few people had custom themes on their computers.

I want some too xD. I checked Microsoft's website and was too slow to get the themes there. So now , I am looking for some themes but don't know where to look. I googled some, but am scared that I might get virused or something...

So where should I look

FREE: You have to use the UXTHEME patcher program, which will rewrite one of your system files (Full proof, don't worry about it.), then you must look up MSSTYLES, which there aren't that many of surprisingly enough.

COST: Download some program like Windows blinds, and choose from the thousands of themes.

You can google all this, sorry (I'm being lazy.)

When they rewrite your system files, which ones? I would back mine up first before doing this. Guarenteed virus free and there is no cost?

Yes. It will only rewrite a DLL file or something. It's totally full-proof, no risk at all.

Never pay to have this done. Just use a UXTheme patcher or something.

The only thing it touches is uxtheme.dll which needs to be modified in order for custom themes to work.

kk. Now gonna research more. Found out it patches UXTheme.dll so gonna back those up.

I seem to have forgotten where I am...

Window Blinds is easily cracked, so invest in that if you want really elaborate themes, the UXtheme/Msstyles are nice, but they don't really compare.

Last time I used Windows Blinds it messed up my computer, uxtheme patching is so much easier.

Guess who's back for help...

So I downloaded a theme off of deviantART. I have these folders and don't know how to install them:
- GehGunnerJunge
- RKLauncher
- Samurize
- StylerTB

I don't know how to install those ones... Anyone know how? Instructions too ^^

Solved... Samurize. GehGunnerGunge, RKLauncher and StylerTB still need help.

For RKLauncher, they just had 4 image files... So never knew what to do with them. GehGunnerGunge had one .exe file. And StylerTB, well, still don't know.

Never mind... I found out the problem. I only mainly care about RKLauncher and StylerTB.
