It's not like the restocking fee is hidden somewhere. They clearly state that there's a restocking fee for any cancellation. Maybe you shouldn't have preordered something that has not even been demonstrated, and has no concrete release date.

I've only seen "restocking fees" with returned items. It is canceling a "note" saying you want to purchase something. Wtf, sticking something back on a shelf is costly? I don't think people should have paid anything, that was their fault. Still, the fee is a farce and anyone who thinks otherwise works for one of these sites or they would lick shoes of they were told they had to.

Kupie if they have an "item" to restock then they could simply ship it to you its a pretty crappy move to charge to restock an item that's not in stock.

If you read their terms and condition the 25% fee is to recover the credit card processing costs. VISA does not charge 25%. Additionally they can continue to hold his money indefinitely without ever having to deliver a product. That is not reasonable and will not hold up in court and they know it. It has been on pre-order for over six months now, more than a reasonable amount of time to deliver a product. Call your bank now and dispute the charge.

Modchipdirect has preorders as well but does not charge your card until just before shipping. If you still beleive this product exists preorder from them and stick it to these Ferengi.

PayPal and MasterCard will not do business with them. I highly doubt they will push back against Visa and risk loosing their card agreement over $25. They are just preying on the young and inexperienced.

I think it might have something to do with Nintendo expected to announce a new revision of the Wii U in 2015 which didn't happen so the Wiikey U and CobraUDE has been pushed back until Nintendo does announce a new revision of the Wii U which is now probably expected to happen in 2016.

Then again this whole ODE for Wii U might have gone south and might not happen.

None of that says a new Wii U revision is coming in 2016, nor does it give a launch date of anything of a new system. So he said they are considering FUTURE system designs and that means the Wii U is going to have a revision next year? THAT is what I want a source for. I work with a guy who owns every single system and has a "back library" of games. He is a neo gaffer and is hooked into all credible gaming news sources. I asked him and he immediately said, "It is not happening." I believe there is really no market for the WiikeyU, it is probably fake, and the rest is wishy wash excuses to give people misplaced hope.

This guy should work for a gaming site or something. Lol, no wife (or husband) no kids, and his ENTIRE life is games. He almost wanted to laugh when I asked about a Wii U revision. Having said all of this, IF anyone has some solid proof, please share.

Just make sure you do it quick, as you only have 120 days from paying to do the chargeback ....might be different in the US??
You should be covered under the term "goods haven't arrive".
But if that fails you can appeal to the financial ombudsman, but I highly doubt it will go that far.

No idea if WK still continue to work on this after the "contracted" dev moved on but the hardware most likely again would be based around the NXP LPC3143 as its three predecessors. The main dev board used for those was heavily customized by the dev not making it easy for any newcomer so maybe getting other devs familiar with this setup is a huge chunk of the delay.

I'm not talking a hardware upgrade like the New 3DS, it'll probably just a die shrink to reduce manufacturing costs with some internal changes and a new slimmer Wii U gamepad with extended battery life.

I'm not saying it's not going to happen I'm tying to make my best guess as to what may have happened for both ODE Teams to push back their product this late.

Nintendo just started making profit on the Wii U after Mario Kart 8's success, it's definitely not out of question that a new cheaper to manufacture Wii U revision may be announced in 2016 with some improvements.

What is the source? Your imagination?

Well both the WiiKey U and Cobra UDE were products of imagination and speculation before they were announced.

And since they've both been pushed back with no information as to why, is it so wrong to use your imagination in order to speculate as to why they've been pushed back.
