where can i get a hdmi modded system.

I would rather not get it from eBay. As i wouldn't trust there soldering. I may be wrong. Where is a good place to get one already done. How much do they go for? I don't want to pay to much.
I kind of want to do it myself but i have basically no soldering skills and it scares me a bit.
Also what are the problem with the ultra hdmi?
Wonder if there will be a revision.
I seen one guys mod that there isn't any leads of ribbon going to the 2 capacitors is this normal?

What system are you wanting such things for? You are in the generic old consoles section and have not said what you want it for.

Have you looked at HDMI boxes? I agree some of the mods which also chain them with RGB mods or something to get the best are nice but a simple HDMI box is cheap and easy.

Sorry was thinking it was a n64 fourm. I ment for the n64. I want it already done.

Good luck not paying a lot for an HDMI modded N64. It's a very involved process not to mention the boards are constantly sold out. Also, you can ask the eBay sellers to post pictures of their work. I get asked a lot so I started including a picture of the install in the listing from the start.

Those generic HDMi boxes are hideous. Usually taking Composite only and blowing up that grainy picture to 720p/1080P and introducing lag.

Wonder what happened there. So as not to pay TV tax when I was a poor student I got the VGA equivalent of it and it was wonderful, give or take it not supporting 60Hz PAL.

I shall have to take a look at this N64 HDMI lark as well. The old RGB mods I saw were not that bad to do and I reckon I could chain one with some of the encoders out there in the world.

I'd honestly just wait a year. There is a very high chance that nintendo will release a n64 mini this time next year. Mod it for extra games, and you'll be all set.

Although it will be annoying having to buy new n64 controllers, as I guarantee the n64 mini will use that crazy wii cable port.

I also had something like this to save space at one point. CVBS to VGA is analog to analog so there isn't any digital processing involved, pair that with CRT which is inherently lag-less and that's a pretty decent setup.

When you take the second to lowest analog video signal and ask something cheap to digitally triple the line count you will always have problems.
