Hacking Question where are the files of the installed NSP games?

I'm asking because I have a memory card that is more than 50% full with NSP files, I have not installed them yet because I'm worried I'm going to run out of space.

I tried installing two games to the SD card, they worked but when I checked my SD card in windows I did not find any installation files for them? do they still use the NSP file? or can I go ahead and delete them?

They get extracted to the Nintendo Switch folder on your SD card. After you install the original NSP file, you can delete it.

thanks for the quick reply mate, I only have a Nintendo folder on SD so I'm assuming you meant that. But, when I checked the size of that folder it was mere mega bytes when I had two fully working installed games? did I not check properly? hmmm.

Within that nintendo folder, there will be other folders. Your game gets installed over those multiple folders, but they will not have the name of the game, so it's difficult to determine which folder is for which game.

Do you know what order should I install files, surely I should install the game first but after that should I install the update or the DLC first? or the order doesn't matter?

I always do main game then update if any and then throw all the DLC on

I do the same order as what andyhappypants posted above. I see it as the update always being useful, while the dlc is just extra content that may not be needed at all.
