Transferring SD card w/ games + emummc to new switch?

Hey, not 100% sure how all of this would work.
I purchased another unpatched V1, and want to transfer my games over to the new switch.

I assume that just inserting the SD card into the new switch won't work.

Will I have to dump the NSP files to my computer, format the SD card, re-install hekate/atmosphere/tinfoil then transfer the games from PC to switch?

You have to reinstall games, save you can move around if you decrypt it.
