Haha. I rarely play Japanese games because of the language barrier.
I'm wondering for those who do playing games in Japanese, what do you
do if you don't get it? Like I just played KH:Re-coded and gave up because
I didn't get what Tidus was saying. TT ^ TT
Do you guys quit if you don't get it too? (:
8D I'm just wondering.

Thanks in advance!

(q __ q I sound retarded. )

what i do when playing japanese games is not understand what is going on because i'm playing a game in japanese. what else is there to say?

I just don't play Japanese games unless it's something that doesn't really need the text, like a fighting game. For games like KH and Pokemon, just be patient and play it in a language you know. A few months (maybe less for some games) longer won't kill you.

If it's a Japan-only game, either translation patch or I don't play, it's that simple.

I play, look up what I'm supposed to do online, and memorize certain things in Japanese.

I'm currently trying to learn Japanese for this very purpose though.

I play even I don't get 100% what it try to say. You'll learn some along the way.

I'm learning Japanese so that some point in future I can play some of it in Japanese. Some games are horribly translated in English.

Really, Pokémon doesn't need to be in a language you know.

It depends on the game. I never play RPGs very far in if there in Japanese, but if its simple, not very story based game, I'll play it in Japanese.

For the first four generations, I agree with you because storyline is really shallow. B/W (5th generation) has a much better storyline that language barrier could pose a problem.

Not very far? Don't you get frustrated that you started?
:/ I know I do.
