Hacking When I plug USB Into Wii, my Wii turns off

When it turns off, i have to unplug the power and plug it back in. Halp pls.

I've had my USB plugged in my Wii for ages and yet it's still completely fine. I guess you have a rare case of what I call the "USB measles"

If the Wii's power light goes out entirely instead of just turning red: Your USB device has a short. Check the connectors on both the device and the Wii to verify that the +5V and Ground lines aren't bridged.

If the device has a detachable cable, try a different cable.
