Gaming What's the difference between Arcade and a regular 360?

But wait, I just realized something about the Arcade. :\ It doesn't have a hard drive... at ALL. So how am I gonna mod it to play back ups if there's no hard drive to mod?! D: That means if I want to mod a 360, I'm gonna have to get either an old Pro or Elite, or get the 20Gb model and do the spoof (which would be kind of pointless ince I'd have to buy ANOTHER drive)

Or am I mistaken?

You burn them to DVD-DLs, but you mod the DVD drive, not the HD.

Yep but all the new ones have the lite-on drives which have to be replaced as they can't be flashed at the moment.

Yes , all games can be copied to the hdd. Still need the disc in to launch the game , so renting them won't help.

Damn, I figured it wouldn't be that easy. Though...

I presume it would be possible to hack the system to allow loading games off of the HDD without a disc, if eventually. Hmm...

Might be harder for ms to detect & ban you from live for playing a copied game if the 360 only checked for the disc once, then played from hd?

No, the 360's USB ports only have read access.

They are offering 20GB hardrives for like 30 dollars, cause the fall update needs more memory. I'm pretty sure microsoft is selling it or something, but it is 30 dollars. Why not, arcade plus 30 dollars 20 gb hardrive is cheaper than a premium.

Aww man I feel for you, I used these vids to fix mine, was like a year ago and still works fine, it cost me like $7 to fix too for the parts!
