Probably the jailbreak. People who develop jailbreaks for iOS tend to release them regardless of whether or not they will be patched by Apple in the next update. There are also more people who use iOS, and will ask/develop a jailbreak for iOS 9.2. Less people work on exploits for Nintendo systems, and even less on Wii U exploits. This is why people in the Wii U Scene are hesitant to release exploits.

My guess would be the jailbreak. Probably around WWDC. Unless MarioNumber1 really steps up his game then the Jailbreak is coming first.

Wrong, there is a chance that a Switch kernel exploit will be released within 1 month of the Switch's release. However, there is absolutely no chance that New Year of 2018 will come before Christmas 2016.

iOS is jailbroken pretty early, but nowadays jailbreakers are selling them. The only real jailbreakers left are Pangu and Taig. That said, I predict an iOS 10 jailbreak near iOS 11's release in september next year.

They won't wait that long because the likes of Pangu rely on it. Groups like Pangu rely on the app store bundled with the Chinese versions of the jailbreak for profit.
