So I has Vista, and I'm using it. But yesterday it had 295 GB left in the HD when I turned it off. Then I turn it on right now and it says 311 GB left. And no one touched it. >_>
So.. wtf?

okey
i think the temporary internet files get deleted whenever u turn off the system. but im not sure about that because those files dont take up that much space !!

Could be one heck of a pagefile.sys!

Vista employs a method to keep fast. Basically everytime you step away from you computer, Vista will start rearranging your files in the hard drive to make it boot faster and let it stay fast. In the case of your hard disk space, Vista was probably cleaning up temporary files and compressing unused files dynamically.
