You know how when you use a DS game, the gold pins wil have that noticable scratch line where the DS reads the cartridge from?
Rayman 3D has it already, and yes, it was plastic sealed. None of my DS games have ever had this when I opened a new game.

So....huh?

Anyone else have this on their 3DS games?

EDIT: http://www.circuit-projects.com/dimg5/24-p...artridge%20.jpg

There's an example, my Rayman 3D cartirdge has those scratch used markings right out of the plastic wrapped box.

Pics or it didn't happen.

Yea, ask anyone that knows me, no camera above 0.3 MP (DSI), which can't capture such finite detail.

But seriously, it has them, I don't care that much (I'm sure it'll still work), but I'm just wondering if anyone else has gotten this and wtf can explain it.

I wasn't accusing you of lying, I was just wondering what you meant.

Oh. I can't descibe it any better, it's on every single already played DS game, and every single already played cartridge game of any system. Even SD cards get them. They're just the scratches on the gold pins where the DS reads the game data from. Seriously, I can't describe it any clearer. Can someone with a decent camera post a pic of what I'm describing?

EDIT: Found one:

Look how there are obvious markings that that thing has been used, it has clearly seeable sratches on the gold pins. My new copy of Rayman 3D has those as well.

That' sad if he doesn't know what you're talking about....

But really. That's pretty strange. I don't think that's ever happened to me with any of my DS games before. When I buy them and they're brand new, they look like it. Of course over time they get scratches, and I'm sure it's not going to be much of a problem, but it's still weird.

I understand what you're saying. I can't say I know why it's already scratched. Maybe it was a tested copy? I think that every few carts in a batch are tested for quality.

Also, I wonder why America is already selling 3DS carts...

Build hype, as if it really needs it

But it's Ubisoft, not Nintendo, releasing them early. Ask them, not Nintendo.

I have Rayman 3D (NTSC, picked it up today)... and it indeed does have the scratch lines.

I would have never noticed that though.

Odd. I wonder if all Ubisoft games got this

EDIT: Yup, all my friends who bought ANY Ubisoft 3DS game have this oddity.

Used goods being sold as new!
It has marks, but they are lighter than if it was actually used.

It definitely isn't a used game... but I would think it wouldn't have marks at all.

The marks on mine are definatly hard enough that it's been used.
But yea, it shouldn't have any at all, like any other brand new cartridge based game.

I got the game today too as well.....I Just checked and mine is clean...no lines whatsoever.....

I'm in Baltimore Maryland by the way.....if that helps in some way

It's called quality control
random batches are tested in a production run to make sure the games work properly
