Just curious. Basically, my Gateway is currently being shipped to me. I plan on using .cia for my online titles (to use the console's header), and .3ds for all other titles. There's not *that* many online titles that I'll play (mainly the major ones. Smash, 1 or 2 pokemon titles, etc etc), but I'm debating between a 32GB and a 64GB for the console itself (I already have a 64GB micro that I'll use for the Gateway).

What sizes do you guys use? And... generally how big are most of the online games?

64gb for cia and 64gb for the red card does the trick for me

You can probably fit all the online games on a 32gb.

Roughly speaking, how many .cia games can a 32GB hold?

Largest online game I recall is the pokemon games at 1.8gb

Remember if you XOR your games and make CIA's you're looking at 35 games+ which is a little over the top and can cause fragmentation errors.

I have put over 70 games on a 64gb micro sd and never had a single error.

Edit: trimmed roms

I don't know about price where you are but i recently bought a 64gb for not much more than a 32gb. I'd rather have more space than realise later i didn't have enough. Also just to add my emunand is now much faster with my 64gb class 10 samsung evo than my 16gb class 10 integral ultima pro.

Haven't upgraded my SD for CIAs yet (need to do that sometime), and I'm using a 16gb micro for the red card. It holds what I want it to.

Another option would be to just stick the 64gb micro sd you already have into a full size adapter and just go the fully cia route. It's nice to have all your games available on your homescreen without switching using the gateway menu. My gateway is basically a boot card for emunand and doesn't even have an sd in it most of the time.

I'm using a 64gb for the 3ds and, 16gb for the red card and 8gb for the blue card.
I have two 3ds so I prefer going the cia way, just in case I want to play with someone else.
