i got a $100 gamestop gift card from work and bought a bunch of MS and Wii points. the question is... what should I buy? At this point, I want suggestions for Xbox 360 more than Wii, because I'm not too hot on buying a bunch of old games that I already own.

i open the forum to you guys. suggestions??

Small Arms on the 360 is a must, what type of games would you most want?

EDIT: Be careful with the 360 points as there are reports of cards not working in North America.

i have an extensive collection of old games; any old game that hasn't been updated ( with online play, new graphics, etc ) doesn't appeal to me.

gunstar heroes, bomberman, for example don;t appeal to me... unless they were online-enabled. Paying for a 10+ year-old game that i already own just doesn't make sense. However, games like UMK3 are cool because of the online play and leaderboards.

I'd like to play new games that are creative and fresh, or games that have great online multiplayer or co-op.

On Xbox360 I like -

Assault Heroes - Top down verticle scrolling shooter, good fun co-op over live.

Lumines Live! - I know its expensive but I just love my Lumines

Geometry Wars - Good fun, very fast paced shooter

UNO - Good relaxing game, good for playing over live and chatting with people

While it's not out yet, Worms HD is due out on XBL Arcade early next year. If that's your cup of tea. I know it's a big fucking cup'o tea for me!

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
