Hacking What should I know before getting a R4 Card

If I really wanted to homebrew my 3DS I would just buy a gold card separately for it in the future which probs will not happen until the DS is not supported anymore, plus I really care about 3DS multiplayer and too scared of bans

btw I did not pay for it yet tho

EDIT: I did heard they are working on a exploit for R4iSDHC Dual Core so...

It's easy to unban your 3DS if you get banned. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I got one a year or two ago and works fine for me. Got more than a hundred games on it and never had any issue. RTS and cheat code work with every games.

Timebomb related information seems to be all over the place. I hear different results from different members and sites. So the only way I can personally know more about them would be for me to actually get one of these carts and start fucking about the time settings on my system.
Although I still personally suggest people spend the extra money to get an R4i Gold over any other R4 clone.

I have only heard about the r4isdhc.com having timebombs, and the yearly carts was an assumption.

That's what I've heard as well, but I think it would be helpful to at least test this in order to give a solid answer.
Both this cart and the r4isdhc.com are cheap enough to get for testing purposes.

I can Already confirm for the R4SDHC RTS LITE 2017.

I set my 3DS time to 2018 and got the red message. I then upgrade to the last kernel (so, from r4sdhc.com) and 2018 works now but 2019 is the new limit. Kinda interesting.

Only the r4isdhc.com cards have timebombs, and most sellers (Like tech 3ds, and nds-card) confirm - this has no timebomb.
It's an ace3ds plus, supposedly.

Actually flashcarts from http://www.r4i-sdhc.com/downloade.asp also have time bombs, I am using the R4i SDHC 3DS RTS with the 1.84b update. In 2020 the flashcart will softlock.

The R4i 3DS RTS from r4i-sdhc.com and the 2014-2017 R4i cards from r4isdhc.com have the same hardware.
