No, there are no CFW for switch. They are all tethered jailbreaks, people like to add the CFW label to things because it's cool. Try flashing any of them over the top of your OFW if you don't believe me, it's a pre-requisite for Custom Firmware that it can replace Original Firmware.
There is no difference in category between Kosmos, ReiNX and atmosphere apart from bundled features.
I use atmosphere as it isn't as bloated as either Kosmos or ReiNX and it gets updated first.

So your saying pre armloader 9 hax on 3ds is not considered cfw... When it did add sign patching and ability to run homebrew and did exploit arm9... This is the dumbest thing I've ever read. So let's just ingore the ds profile exploit, the home menu exploit, and various other exploits that worked without being a coldboot and provided sign patches.

CFW doesn't mean signature patches or piracy, it literally means Custom FirmWare.
If it can't act as firmware then it can't be Custom Firmware.
The term was defined long before it was misused (solely it seems) by nintendo hackers.

Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
