How fast can you type?

I type really slow about 45 wpm.

I type 115 average. I can go over 130 sometimes; but I'll probably make some mistakes in typing.

I usually average around 65-80WPM, but I only use two fingers for typing.

It's about the same speed I'm talking, so even if I could type 100WPM or more, I can only write messages as fast as I can come up with the words and phrases I want to write down

So I really don't think there is any use to be able to type 120WPM or so, other than pwning in Typing of the Dead

To be fair that test isn't a true representation of your typing ability, it's much easier and quicker to type as you think, than to copy from any given text.

i can go well over 80 with no mistakes, but if i start to do like 100 then i make some mistakes

but last time i checked i got like 87 without any mistakes

i was 78 last year and i think im over 100 now because my pc didnt lag when i typed laster year at 78 and now it lags a hell of alot when i type.

i copy pasted on that and i got 8,789 WPM

I'm a pretty slow typist myself....only about 30-40 WPMs. Never could get any faster than that. It probably didn't help that back in 1981 when I took the class, I didn't really take it very seriously.

87 wmp, with one mistake. Though as someone else stated, you'd probably see better results if you could type from your thoughts rather than copying text.
