There's no such thing as a PAL console though. The firmware has regions.
EUR, US, JAP, etc

The serial of the console is outside the box. You can always try to get X-ray vision too tho

Yeah, they're right there on that link I gave you.

Just look at the barcode area on the box and you'll see the serial number.

The 3ds DOES have PAL hence the region lock between PAL, NTSC-J and NTSC-U
