Hacking What is the best NDS flashcart?

I'm looking to buy a NDS flashcart, which one should I buy?

There is no absolute best flashcart: everyone has their own needs.
We recommend you do a little research, read reviews...

Currently three cards seem to stand out though.
- Supercard DSTWO: $35, best compatibility, GBA emulator, SNES emulator, DivX player...
- Acekard 2i: $15, excellent compatibility, AKAIO
- R4: $6, very cheap but awesome thanks to Wood R4

Super Card DSTWO seems to be the cart of choice, next to that, I'd have to say would be Acekard with AKAIO firmware! I order a Super Card DSTWO three days ago so it should arrive sometime next week. I have and R4 and a Acekard 2i.

maybe post that cycloDS is the second best flashcart ever, but only when not considering money...

but yeah i'd say the Super Card DSTWO is the best for now.

I have an acekard 2i and it's really awesome. Excellent game compatibility and even better now that the new 1.8.1 firmware is out [enables auto ap like the supercard]. Read the reviews in the left column of gbatemp home page. got my ak for around $20 w/ 2gb sd card & reader bundle.

Anyways, yeah my answer is Basically the same as yours but you forgot to mention any cons...

Cons:

R4--Can't play on DSi or DSiXL. No microSD over 2GB supported.
Ak2i--Build Quality. Less frequent updates than other two.
DStwo: High price. About 25% less battery life, emulation worse.

Not sure why even considering DStwo - never heard much about it.

I'd recommend two only:

Acekard2 - low price, runs fine, has some extra options for games, but build quality isn't the best.

cyclods - Runs great, frequent updates, lots of extra options for games, build quality is great, but it's expensive.

supercard dstwo i own one theyre amazing just only problem is the 25% less battery life but i really dont notice it.

Let me mention the RPG Acekard : unique card with dual memory - on board & micro SD and it is open source ( Thanks Wood and Akaoi devs ... of course)

Yanazake I agree about CycloDS too ... both are great but expensive

DSTWO, definitely. The internal CPU gives you built-in full speed slot-1 SNES and GBA emulation, plus a TON of DSTWO-exclusive homebrew created using the SDK.

Well I chose Acekard 2i cause It's like Supercard DSTWO but cheaper. But it has no GBA Emulator and other stuff. So I guess it's Acekard 2i if you are broke or Supercard DSTWO if you have lotsa bucks :-D
