here's the genre i like.

my first choice would be a first person shooter.

second would be some kind of adventure game.

This isn't under your genre of preference and I would've never thought it'd be under mine as well, but if you haven't, you should give the Need for Speed series a try and the Race Driver series a try too!

Kinda obvious... Pokemon D/P. Also Mega Man Starforce (series). Mario Kart DS is also another good game.

Well for a FPS the obvious choice would be Metroid Prime Hunters but there is also Dementium and Call of Duty which are both pretty good games. I would recommend Dementium out of the two, it has a great atmosphere and some pretty decent visuals. If your looking for an adventure game I would suggest Professor Clayton, it is more of a puzzler but could easily be considered a decent adventure game as well. If you want to try something else out I suggest trying out Space Invaders Extreme. The game is really a lot of fun and takes an old formula and tweaks it into something new yet familiar at the same time. Anyways, I hope those help you

Professor Clayton, it is more of a puzzler but could easily be considered a decent adventure game as well.
