I have N3DS on 11.4 and have the Cubic Ninja homebrew launcher, but now what? Is there anything really worth doing without CFW? What is 11.4 capable of doing that's worth it? (If there isn't anything then I'll just return the game and semi-patiently wait for the next exploit to fully work for 11.4).

There is save data editing, play coin editor, I think you can use custom themes.

Don't forget custom badges, custom games, and emulators

Only cool thing is Custom Theme and emulators lol, nothing cool real fun w/out CFW. I guess you have to wait for another yet kernel exploit for 3DS 11.4 (it will probably take a while, since dev have to update their *hax payload for O3DS, but they're too lazy lel we can't say anything they gave us anything 4 free)

Been out of the hacking scene for awhile (had to create a new account) and got a good deal on some SD cards, so I was going back looking at the status of ninjhax
I have an 11.4 old3DS and found to be disappointed as fuck that I can't do anything at all, lmao. I think I updated a few months ago after loading a game and didn't think about it as I haven't fucked with Ninjhax or the homebrew loader for some time. Patiently waiting for updates!

There is quite a bit of worthwhile homebrew at this point. Just explore a bit it's fun.
Though most homebrew that will have longevity will be emulators. If you haven't played SCUMM games before ScummVM on 3DS is not perfect but works well enough, and let's you play some of the most fun Point and Click games out there. Other emulators are pretty self explanatory.
HANS alows you to use romhacks, there are a few good ones out there.
You can check what you can do on the wiki under homebrew app/games and there is also a list on 3dbrew.org.

I would definitly not return the game. There will most likely be a new ARM11 or ARM9 exploit released sometime, no reason not to just hold on until then. Or you could install a secundairy exploit and return the game of course if you have any other exploitable game (I hacked my 3DS's when 9.2 was latest FW so haven't kept up with other *hax exploit's but you can find them at smealum.github.io/3ds)

So I can still use emulators for NES and GBA and anything in between? That was really the main reason I wanted to homebrew so I can have portable emulators.

And (if anyone knows) is there a way to skip the steps of launching Cubic Ninja and going through the menu and stuff to get to HBLauncher? Now that I have access to it, are there shortcuts? Sorry for the noobness, I'm new to 3DS homebrewing. And I do own oot3d on catridge. Is that exploit still working? (Sorry for the barrage of questions).

Yes emulators are available.
You might? I don't know the current status of *hax exploits but like I already said you can look at secondary exploits at smealum.github.io/3ds if you install one of these you can then use the exploit in that game instead, meaning you have the exploit on you system (you will still have to run that game and go to the steps specific to that exploit to get into HBL). Again I haven't done any of this recently so I don't know what still works and what doesn't others here might though.

ps. retroArch is pretty decent. It does have a GBA emulator, but I wouldn't expect full speed on most games if it was anything like when I wasn't using VC for gba yet (aka before GBA VC injects were possible kek)

the compatability and List of Full speed games go right down in the gba emulators on the N3DS when yor not dealing w/ VC's so dont be super Hopeful, but NES and SNES? yea full speed ahead (VirtualNES and Snes9x"old3DS SNES" are the ones to get. and no the only way yp shortcut to HBLauncher is CFW :/

Wish they would let us play the NCAA football 14 on newer xbox, its one of the only games I love and own on disc still, that is not back compatible, bs.

@BigOnYa My dad recently bought a spare Series X off of me, got game pass, and saw Madden '24 on Game Pass, decided to try it out.

@K3Nv2 He was looking into consoles for his house anyway (for my younger siblings and himself) and I had a spare XSX and Switch I ended up selling him at pretty steep cuts. I would just give them to him, but I did buy them with the intent to sell them... and college is super expensive.
