Ok i'm about to buy an r4 flashcart for my ds and befor
i get started with it i need to get down to what all theses flashcarts offer,
my main problem is I can't find out what is Emulation is. someone please help
me out.

p.s i also want to make my own skin for my flashcart but i need to find out how.

...the only "kinds" of DS are the DS Phat and the DS Lite. It's pretty easy to tell the difference between the two.

And like I said over PM, you'd be best posting this type of question in the DS forums.

Emulators are programs that run software/files meant to run on some other machine completely.

Its like having a program that lets you play GBA on your PC.

But each emulator needs to be made for each system. The program that runs GBA games on a PC doesn't work to run GBA games from a DS.'

Emulators are not only for gaming consoles either, if my understanding is correct.

Made up definition for "emulation"

Emulation - Meaning to
Natively run a Program/Code designed for another system

Real Definition

French: émulateur Hardware or software built into a computer system which causes the system to appear as if it were another system.

You know about flash cards and skins for said cards and not emulation? ... wow nothing against you personally but that just seems well backwards, like learning algebra before learning arithmetic
