I have the following packages:
  • CUSA23470_Crash_Bandicoot_4-A0100 (21.13 GiB)
  • CUSA23470_Crash_Bandicoot_4-A0104-Fix 5.05 - 6.72 - 7.02 (20.98 GiB)

Questions:
  • What's the difference?
  • I have a PS4 Firmware 9.00, so I'm assuming I need the first one?
  • 6.72 - 7.02 refers to the firmware I'd reckon?
  • What's the difference between A0100 and A104?
  • Can I run the "Fix"?
  • Do I need both?

Just a backported pkg so it works on 5.05 or higher instead of whatever firmware the game is actually for. You can ignore it if you're on 9.00.

Thank you. But why is it "A0100" and "A0104"? Doesn't that mean the fix has the higher game version? And can I run it if I'm on 9.00 anyway?

As KiiWii said, they might have actually bundled the update as also a backported pkg. They really should have 2 versions (1 with the backport, 1 without) but it doesn't matter too much.

I see. Wil I be able to run both pkg? So if I have firmware 9.00, can I run a backported pkg for 5.00-8.00?

For the EUR version of Crash Bandicoot 4, get the following for your 9.00 jailbreak ps4.
Game
Update 1.04 (7.50+)
DLC Unlock Totally Tubular Skins

You don't need Update 1.04 (Fix 5.05 / 6.72 / 7.02). It is for people with older jailbreak firmwares.

Because you have a 9.00 jailbreak ps4 you will never need the "fix" backport file. It applies to other games as well.

BTW, I would rather download the CUSA19035 – USA version because it has update version 1.05. I would download the followings.
Game
Update 1.05
DLC

Do you notice that the USA version 1.05 has no backport fix yet. People on older jailbreak firmwares cannot use the Update 1.05. They have to wait for the Update 1.05 fix backport.

Thanks for pointing out that newer version @Tomtani1. I will use that one :D

But I am also wondering if I can use backported games for 9.00? Sometimes the situation is the other way around: a lower firmware has a higher version of the game. In that situation, can I use the lower firmware version of the game on my ps4 running a a higher firmware?

I have not tried to use a backport fix file for my 9.00 jailbreak ps4. There has alway been the regular GAME and UPDATE file to use. I alway skip the fix files.

Using a backported pkg on your PS4 doesn't matter. If it has the update, you might as well just use what's there. But if there's a later update then you instead should try use that.

I think "fix" is a bad term to use here, because a fix implies something is broken. I mean every update has to be "fixed" too, so in essence this "fix" actually breaks the game.
