Could someone explain what Clean/Proper/NukeThis means?

I don't understand the purpose of them...

Also, is there a page/wiki that explains about all this stuff?

Thank you!

Clean: 100% identical to the original from which it was copied
Proper: Same as above, but intended to replace a previous release that was not
NukeThis: Not conforming to scene rules, for example due to modifications (say, AP patches included) or improper dumps.

They do this because if all were named the same, then one person wouldnt be able to tell the difference if it would work or not. For instance people usually want Clean ROMs instead of Patched roms because the flashcart has already built in AP patch for it. Or simply because the ROM wont start because its patched and the flashcart maybe attempts to patch over it again and ends up in messing the ROM.

Fat D pretty much got it right, except NukeThis is a release group.

His explanation's good for terms like "nuked" which sometimes comes with the radioactive icon, though.
