Hello! I am currently developing something called DSGaminator. It will be a *NEW* DS Game Maker. It will RIVAL the current DS Game Maker, but The program will be available by next Christmas.

Also I want to say that this DS Game Maker (DSGaminator) will NOT USE PALIB OR DEVKITPRO (As of Now(If I encounter problems then I will use them)). It will run on entirely new libraries that are embedded in the program. This way you can Implement DSi features and other cool stuff to your games and the program wont have to update with the libraries. The libraries will update WITH the program! I am also trying to implement a 3D Game Feature!

The 3D feature in DSGaminator will allow for you to make your own 3D world for your game! It may not be available for the first release but It will be in one of the Versions! It will be kinda like Animal Crossing 3D! It will take a while though. That is 45% of the reason DSGaminator will be released later.

NOTE: the other 55% is because I don't have enough money to make a site for DSGaminator. If you would like to donate some money for the site please click the link below!

Donate!

Since the program WILL BE MADE IN VB.NET I will include the .NET Framework setup with the program.

Whenever there are updates to the site, or there are new versions of DSGaminator, a remote program (made by me) will send you a text message to your mobile phone! You just need internet access. No need to have a special modem!

*CURRENT FEATURES*

It will include a Wizard to quickly make games.
A Help function that is update-able VIA internet.
Send texts to phone when updates are available.
All basic functions of a DS Game Maker.
Able to edit actual code

*CURRENT FEATURES*

Remember this application is in the early stages in Development.

i don't mean to be a dick but this really does not belong in this section, it would be better suited in the DS boards, especially since there is already a news post about this: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=181375

Sorry about the double news post....... I just wanted to add the poll and BAM a new news post.....

Quick question. Will it be gui based, or have its own language. (Or, as its being made in VB, does it simply convert VB commands?)

BOTH!!
Its hard to explain right now... Its better to show you when its out lol.
Just so all of you know it will be made in VB.Net (Like DS Game Maker) a bit of C++ and a small part of Java!
In the actual application you will have the option to See and Edit the code directly (May not be in first release due to MASSIVE amounts of programming) or to just use the interface provided. Like I said before I will not be using Devkitpro and Palib, but instead a much smaller and EMBEDDED (for all you hackers out there.) programming language to compile the games. Yes it will be based off of Palib and Devkitpro, but it will be WAY smaller.
Another feature I am working on is a Built in Emulator!!
If you have any leads on how to do that in C++ or VB.Net please tell me...!

This is going to end up like every other project of it's kind.
1)Starts out ambitious, by an unknown coder.
2)Coder starts to program
3)Coder starts to ask for help
4)Coder asks for more help
5)Coder asks for musicians, spriters, coders, and animators.
6)Disputes between team members
7)Someone tells coder he's not doing anything
8)Coder gets yelled at
9)Coder abandons internet/fakes own death
10)No one ever mentions coder again
Basically, this is going to crash and burn. Have fun.

First of all why the hell would I need an Animator, a Spriter and A Musician???
Second off all, I am doing this alone so no chance of "fight"

...I support this.

Making games takes a ton of dedication for one person. Making a program to make games is even harder. Good luck! Oh, if you can't afford a website, why not make a blog? There are plenty of sites that give free blogs and most let you dress it up however you want. It will be a lot easier to do something like that than to make updates everywhere.

I really think that would be a good idea, BUT I'm sorry to say, If you wanted to buy a quality program, would you be impressed if the site was a site hosted and made by a free web "software"? Didn't think so...

Good idea anyways!

I am also working on an online version of my program with even BETTER FEATURES!!!

On top of this I am going to make what is called a Development Studio. So for $30 (Price May Go Down or Up) you will get an Upgraded version of the program that includes a specialized Text Editor ONLY for my program, (Hard to Explain) An Image editor, similar to Photoshop (Only Better

) and Finally what I call "The Advanced PokeText" Yes, it can edit the text of ANY POKEMON GAME TO DATE (Including HG/SS).
