My mother's going to buy a new laptop within these weeks, but she's too stubborn to make her understand that she can get better deals for her money with other PCs... so, as she's determined to buy this one, I would like some technical advice about it. How well will it perform? Do you think it's worth the money? (I don't, but meh...) Let's see: HP DV6614 -Windows Vista Premium Edt. -Intel Core 2 Duo T2310 @ 1.4Ghz -Video card: Intel GMA X3100 "up to" (sic) 256MB (Integrated, isn't it?) -2GB RAM -120GB HDD @ 5400RPM -Lightscribe DVD Burner (DVDRW +/-) -6-in-1 card reader -Wireless connection: 802.11 b/g WLAN - 15.4'' WXGA -Webcam + Mike + Remote So, that's it. I don't think it's a good purchase for €999... At least, I've seen 'better' laptops for just a little more. I don't know much about hardware, but... AFAIK, the Intel Core 2 Duo processors are really good, aren't they? My PC, the one I'm writing from, has a 3.06GHz Intel Petium 4. How is the one in this laptop compared to the one I have? Well, that's all. I know there are better deals out there, but my mother's buying a fridge in this same store, so adding up items would increase the payment facilities she'll be given. Thanks in advance.
