You should still follow the first part of this guide https://gbatemp.net/threads/002-0102-ban-bypass-method-more-info.449181/ (like Karuley suggested)

to unban nnid so that you can do dsidowngrade.

I followed the video in the guide, but error 002-0102 comes up.

That's okay. That error code won't stop you from doing dsi downgrade - which is what you wanted to do, right?

Will I need a NNID to buy Fieldrunners, and to use system transfer? And will it transfer the ban?

022 is nintendo servers (eshop, miiverse, ect)
002 is online game servers

currently 022 is fixable by following the first part of that tutorial, 002 is the one that needs a clean lfcs b to fix

If you look in the guide you provided it says "Note that this won't work for the 022-2812 or 002-0102 bans given to Sun/Moon players who used online functionality before release." But it says there is another way here. How would I install the .plg file?

So far, yes. There are some crazy people (like 30+) all using the same lfcs_b. They started a discord server and all shared the same one.

Dang... hope Ninty doesn't wise up to that. There'd be so many bans... but unless they can tell who is not the original, they might not be able to single anyone out.

Well, all those guys had already been banned before (save the one donor) - so I think Nintendo will ban all of them eventually. You need CFW to dump the LFCS_b - so breach of tos already.
