Anyone know how to crack a WEP key?

although, if he left the router admin password as default, it may just be easier to connect to its admin panel by cable and view it...

For aircrack-ng you also need a compatible wifi card to go into monitor mode. There are a few linux distros that come with aircrack installed already. Backtrack is one.

You mean the program that can get the WEP key out of dump files but can't create the dumps itself due to limitations of the DS? Yeah, that's not gonna help much.

I know all the pas configs and I can do it while he's at work

But, how do I reset the router? You mean off/on? And, I don't have linux. Just vista home premium and vista ultimate :/

Well usually on most routers there is like a reset button, on some it is easily visible and easily pressed, on others in may require using something narrow like the tip of the pen to get to the button.

If your still using WEP, maybe someone else has hacked it and is using up all the bandwidth.

it will erase everything in the router

it router wont be able to connect to the internet again until the passwords and everything are reentered for your ISP
