I feel sorry for the people in IRC who had to deal with that ridiculous amount of spam.
It was, of course, not in #GBAtemp.net because... well, you should understand why. It was in a different channel, one that's actually chatable.

When you sleep and dream, your body is supposed to shut down all motor skills... so you don't run around and punch shit like you would in a dream. Now there are different levels over "shutdown," one of which is where people get panic attacks because they're brain "shuts down" too much... not that it REALLY does, but its a perception where your body is no longer working, and you either panic, or just jolt your body awake (i jolt, a LOT, when i try and fall asleep. Hell, just happened last night.)

Now, when its time to wake up, sometimes your body isn't as quick as your mind is to get up... which is where the paralysis feeling comes in. You're still in a dream state, you very slightly take in your surroundings, but things aren't right. I've had this happen many times as well. So in reality, you were still dreaming, but your mind was confused because it was trying to take in reality... but it wasn't quite time.

Its a really scary feeling, but really, its just dreaming.

The body does WEIRD things sometimes.

Hope that was half understandable. lol

Hey that explains why one time when I woke up I couldnt move my entire body for like 10 seconds. That creeped me out. But anyways, pretty creepy dream. i like to documewnt my dreams and write them down because I always forget them hors after they happen.

I've had dreams before where my heart has stopped and I have to subconsciously restart it, usually by trying to wake myself up.
However, I usually CANNOT wake myself up and I kinda just have seizures for a while... Was that really a dream? I dunno.

A few weeks ago I had this really crazy dream where I was a ghost hunter (?) and I had to save the damned minions of "Mozart." Only by defeating them could they finally rest in peace. Anyhoo, I found Mozart (who was actually Gollum! FTW!) and he summoned a evil cannon and he ran away. I defeated the cannon by remembering these peanut butter pretzel sandwiches in my pantry, which I turned into holy communion, and threw into the cannon which then exploded.

Yes, I AM SERIOUS.

Yeah I've had that before too. It is really scary when you can see your bedroom and know that your eyes are seeing things when your awake and your body feels like its tied up, i wasn't able to wake up until i shut my eyes again and went back to sleep again for another half hour. At first i thought someone did tie me up and i was panicking during the whole thing. I looked up the same wikipedia article right after and it calmed me down. That however isn't as weird as the dream where you wake up and you'll believe it while you dream it, then wake up in the middle of the dream in the middle of the night. Thats like someone suddenly turning the sun off.

i used to dream alot, I remember when I was a kid, I would have to stare at a lampshade to get out of the dream. But nowadays I rarley dream and when I do I always end up waking up inside a dream. Like I'm dreaming that Im dreaming or somthing. Ill be dreaming about somthing then Ill wake up (still a dream) and be like phew glad that was just a dream then Ill exit that dream into sleep mode then wake up in the morning and remember it and how weird it was that I didnt relize I was dreaming that I woke up. lol

You were basically hallucinating while in a state somewhere between sleep and consciousness.
That would seem to be the most likely thing that occured. It pretty much explains everything about what happened.
It definitely is. It's happened to my mom lots of times.
Happened to me once too, IIRC. Though I didn't see ghosts.

I've had that, Weird stuff, I didn't see ghost or anything, but I woke up... or I thought I did, I then proceeded to get breakfast, watch TV, get a drink, like my morning routine basically, but it turns out I was asleep, but I could have sworn it was real,

I get a lot of that Deja Vu crap too, nothing important, its normally something random, Like in my dream I'll be swimming with sharks, then my dream randomly flashes toward me microwaving some pizza, then back to the sharks.... but later that day, I microwave some pizza and Im like.. Deja vu!

Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
He couldn't eat until after his MRI, when he had a bomb pop.
