does anyone know what extinfo.dat does?

It's in the unofficial firmware right? I heard it hex edits a few values in MLBIS to bypass the AP

Who knows? It may be an integral part of future compatibility fixes so it's probably best to leave it in. It is, after all, only 8kb.

because its not in the official firmware or 1.17a02 that i recall

Is there something wrong with that statement? It's correct, corresponding to http://www.ds-scene.net/?s=releases. At least I think it is, because that's what the jap guys say.

There's no point in adding any in-progress translations imo since they're continuously updating it. But yeah, add Nostalgia please!
