A variety of reasons, I suppose, as dice mentioned it's sort of a visual safety net. If your pants fall off, you're still covered. Not everyone being comfortable with public nudity. My boxers actually do keep me warm, actually. I've compared and contrasted and there's a big difference (to me). And I'm a jeans man, and let me tell you, your junk scraping against a metallic zipper? Not fun. Plus, there's a better chance you'll get it caught when zipping up.

Really, the list goes on and on.
I have never had my pants fall off without my consent, so that isn't really a big issue for me. As for your junk against a zipper... Don't most pants have a flap of fabric behind the zipper? I know all of mine do...

I hate them, especially when I'm not near a toilet or a private place to wipe my hole.

Always smell of fish too for some reason.
MAYBE YOU SHOULD STOP EATING OUT.
(yay double meanings)

...why do you do it?

If you're worried about shit stains in your pants, why aren't you worried about shit stains in your undies?

(Generally speaking) underwear are cheaper than pants. Think of it as paying a little extra for the insurance of your pants.

+1

The most win combination is spandex boxer-breifs and girls skinny jeans. You might think of it as restricting, but I think of it as the most comfortable sheath for my genitals in the world.

o.O

Are you wearing something on top of that?
And why can't you settle for guys' skinny jeans?

Guys skinny jeans are like wimping out. The crotch is way lower, which sounds good but its actually defeating the purpose. Pretty much guys skinny jeans are for boys who want to be trendy without really committing themselves.

Or those who want children...

This and this.

Boxers are actually really warm. And the zipper thing is just... OUCH.

Still, I might try to go Commando sometimes. Sounds funny

From the female point of view:

- the snail trail (the secretions everyday get your jeans/khaki's messed up sometimes - it's not a good look)
- the clitoris can get pinched in the seam of your pants (it's as painful as your nose getting caught there, but it's just an annoying thing)
- you can wash your underwear every day, by your jeans/pants - NOPE.
- protection (I used to go commando, and then we had a rash of people with cameras trying to look up people's pant legs...)

G-strings/thongs:
- just for decoration
- when you are feeling sexy and you want to wear something nice under your clothing

underwear? i wear boxers. like others said, pants split/ride down. got nothing covered. yeah and agreed with that zipper thing. i had a mate who had to to go to hospital cause he went commando and zipped his little mate up sometime in the early morning.

i've never had my pants split, my pants dont ride down because i wear a belt and ive ALWAYS made sure i was completely in my pants before i zipped up that would be retarded to get caught in the zipper.

Why not?

>If you're worried about shit stains in your pants, why aren't you worried about shit stains in your undies?

Everyone can see my pants. Only people I choose to allow can see my undies.

>They aren't really going to keep you warm, it's a thin layer of fabric.

Some blankets are just think layers of fabric. They still work.

>I know women can get moist from time to time, but most guys I know aren't dripping with anything.

They aren't watching the right pr0nz then, MI RITE?

>Comfort?

>Meh. Denim against my bare legs isn't much more irritating than it its around the genital region.

Comfort comes more in keeping your boys snug and not flopping all over the place, maybe sticking to a leg when hot and sweaty, stuff like that. Not to keep your pants from touching the junk.

>So um, I think I'm going to stop wearing underwear soon.

>It does nothing for me (that I know of).

Whatever, I don't know why anyone would care if you wear undies or not. Whatever floats your boat.
