WarioWare Gold demo now available on the eShop

WarioWare Gold is headed for a release later this month, but if you're eager to try the game prior to its release, Nintendo has made a demo available on the eShop. This demo will let players try out a selection of some of the game's 300 different "microgames", requiring you to tilt your 3DS, speak into the microphone, use the stylus, and more, in order to win. The full game launches exclusively on the 3DS on July 27.

Currently this is only for the EU regions, but a demo is expected shortly for the North American eShop.

  • Minigames: Aim to top the high score charts in over 10 unique minigames, including Micro Golf Tour, Autograph! and Mewtroid. There’s even a play on the classic Game & Watch game, Manhole.

  • Studio: Players can show off their voice acting skills by recording their own voiceovers for any of the unlocked movies.

  • Records: Get down and boogie to a selection of songs from previous WarioWare games – some of them even in Japanese!

While any microgame unlocked in Story mode can be replayed as a high-score challenge in Index mode, completing the Story mode unlocks the additional Challenge mode. Within Challenge, 9 barmy game modes put a series of twists on the core mechanics for players to challenge their skills alone or with friends, including:

  • Battle Time: Up to 2 friends can compete against each other and test their WarioWare skills by connecting over a local wireless connection** and taking on the same microgames simultaneously. Each player gets 4 tries and the last player standing is the winner. For players who are new to the WarioWare series or can’t handle the heat, there’s the option to adjust the number of tries for each player between 1 and 4.

  • All Mixed Up: All of the microgames are played at random, so players better have their wits about them if they want to crush their high score.

  • WarioWatch: Time is ticking down! Players only have a limited amount of time to complete as many microgames as possible. Bonus seconds are rewarded for every microgame completed so aim to complete as many as possible.

  • Super Hard: This is the ultimate challenge for WarioWare experts. All microgames start at a high speed and continue to increase in speed as the game goes on.

  • Sneaky Gamer: Take on the role of 9-Volt as he sneakily plays games in bed. Keep an eye on the top screen where 9-Volt’s mother, 5-Volt, is keeping a watchful eye – if she catches him playing, it’s an instant game over.

Wario gets new voice lines in 2018?
Somebody slap me.

I rather see a new Wario Land or World over the Microgames series but I still have hope left in me.

The opening cut scene really made me giggle, I've never properly played a Wario game before aside from the DSiWare title, so I'm eager to try the full release!

Not keen on the reuse of microgames, but pleased they're moving away from the game and wario playstyle.

I can't find it in freeshop. I'm sure its there .I have all regions selected. Am I blind? Lol
Its not readily available in freeshop and in some cases, takes a few weeks before it appears. Search for that game in that title keys site and select the qr code (using computer/phones internet browser of course). From there, scan the QR using FBI's remote install. Hope that makes sense

Any idea how large the full game will be (in MB)? How much free space is recommended anyways? I have 1.2/29.4 GB after getting Sushi Strikers...

May not even be enough for a NAND backup lol. Though I do plan on deleting WarioWare: Touched! for Gold and another game depending on free space.

For all people whining about the game not working. There is a simple fix thats been shown. All that needs to be done is import the seed from FBI. For some reason it seems to be missing with this game, and will spit these errors that everyone has seen.
