Gaming Wario Land HELP! (Real game disc, not backup)

So, I got a Best Buy gift card today, and decided to treat myself to Wario Land for Wii. I hadn't played my Wii in a few weeks, and had been keeping track of all the news about the October 23rd update (and making sure I didn't update!). I downloaded the IOS51 & Shop Channel V2 update package and installed them through the Homebrew Channel. But when I inserted the Wario Land disc into the Wii, I got a message saying that I needed a system update to play the game. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? I'm running 3.3U (and obviously, no Oct 23rd update).
