Hey peepz,

since it's almost time for my summer vacation I thought it would be nice to get out my GBA SP again and put some new games on the flash cart.
Probably I asked too much, because I can't get the sucker to work anymore...

It used to work fine, but now all I get is stuff like "Flash not found!!!" etc...
I formatted my pc about half a year ago, so perhaps the settings (drivers and stuff) and software I'm using aren't correct anymore.
I know the latest trend is those M3 cards and all, but can someone help me out with aolder Flash2advance 256M cart??? I'm using power writer 2.61 (don't know if this is the best software)
Really hope so.

Hey Wabo,

the label on the card says "Flash2Advance 256M Flash Card" and looks like this:
GBA-0032-Lx9x6.jpg

But you already helped me out! (did a search a came upon this post: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=29979)
So I got it working, now I'll have to work out Pogoshell... any tips? (especially the saving, because I used to have some problems with that).

Thanks!

As long as you srampatch any game that isnt sram in the first place with GBATA, it should be all good with saves. Mines is almost 3 years old and the battery still holds my saves fine.

Ok, will keep that in mind.
Srampatch with GBATA you say? Never heard of that...
Do I have to create a save folder or so in PogoShell??

No save folder, everything is created on the fly in the f2a sram. You'll need sramexplorer to manage them easily. http://winpogo.free.fr/sram-explorer.htm
GBATA is a wonderful software no one should be whitout, most probably can be found here on gbatemp, on my website and on no-intro site.

Man...I feel like a retard

Got the Pogoshell working, put a ROM on it to test the stuff (Astroboy).
That all works, but saving...no go.
I must be missing some essential knowledge about the saving because I can't get it right.

Is there some tutorial or resource that I can use? So that I finally get it...
Really hope so.

Okeey, seems I've got it figured out.

The ROM was saving as EEPRom instead of SRAM, so I needed to patch it.
Now it saves the game! (hurray!)

I'm going to try this with multiple roms on the card now...
