This one from @hippy dave has been bothering me.

How do we know Wario is a bad plumber? (The Waluigi-Costumed Man is merely "Bad Plumber's Mate," and that's assuming that- since we're bootlegging- the Wario-Costumed Man is designated as Bad Plumber and not the gentleman behind him.)

Like, are they morally bad, or are they ineffective as plumbers?

I'm not thoroughly convinced that Mario and Luigi are particularly good plumbers in the first place. You have to botch a Brooklyn job pretty badly to end up in a different universe/reality/timeline, and that's when they're both working together.


Could someone ease my mind on this entire matter?

I always thought "tap" was an outlet of liquid in general, a "juicehole" if you will (please don't), and "faucet" was the specific fixture with the valve and the nozzle and the things. You tap a barrel, or tap maple trees, or have beer on tap, or get a spinal tap, etc.
