Hacking Volume level

The volume level, does it has any effect on battery life?

Hmm, hard to say.

A few times when my DS was half dying, and half alive, I had the volume turned up all the way, and some parts when music played, the green LED would flash red, and then green again, then red. Kind of going along with the music.

I'm guessing yes, but not that much of an effect to cause it to drain right away.

True but not by much, definatly not as much as other factors like screen brightness

Thanks for the info.

Regarding the brightness, for sure it does affect the battery life.

But I am still puzzled because my last test produced slightly the same result:

#1 test: Brightness Level 2, battery life 7 hours 30 minutes then blinking red
- Games: Cake Mania 2, Pokemon Platinum

#2 test: Brightness Level 1, battery life 7 hours 45 minutes then blinking red
- Games: Cake Mania 2, Pokemon Platinum, Nanostray

I will do another test later.

Are you sure these results are accurate? The brightness settings only influence the difference by 15 minutes? That can't be right.
