...the SD2Vita is a memory card adapter. Asking for this is like asking for a MicroSD to MicroSD converter that somehow holds 2 MicroSDs in the same space. That's not happening.
The person who thought that for Vita actually did the research and effort to work out how to do it. Let us know when you've finished the prototypeMost likely don't but still I would love to get my hands on something like that...
Emunand on the game cart while you use the micro sd for storageMy question is why would you want “SDtoSwitch” when it can already use a micro?
Yeah, we all know that
More memory of course
Nope.
It might be more cost effective to get two smaller memory cards. Also, this will double the maximum possible memory
Amazon.com, 32GB micro sd 13.97, 64GB is 22.44, two 32GBs are a bit over over $27
128GB is 39.44, two 64GB are 44.88
Have you looked at larger capacities?
Just putting this out there.
The vita with CFW allowed for the use of a specialised sd card cartridge adapter called the vita2sd.
With the switch pretty much being blown open this summer, it might be a good idea to get investigate the feasibility of such a feature for the switch as well.
Thoughts?
EDIT: Some of you asked why do you even need this? Simple. More memory. It might be more cost effective when you get 2x 128gb micro sd cards as opposed to just one 200gb memory card and etc etc
Hopefully when that day comes, it won't be such a convoluted mess to install games like the Wii U was. Like needing a HUGE SD card, just to install large games (or multiple games) to the USB drive.Switch already has bestest memory card type there is. Altho I would not say no to ablity to run games from USB while docked.
That's a really, really good point, there's nothing stopping you from carrying around a "homebrew" SD card and a "games" SD card. Heck, you could even take another one with you, since if you own one of the official cases there are two microSD card cases in the game card casesur issue is literally solved by just having two sd cards and swapping between them when u want to... there is no way that would justify something like that, that would simply add bulk to the system.
also idc who u are u don't need that many games at any given time. If you do, you need fresh air too...
yeah I just used "u" and I'm not about to fix it.
Or just one that's copied across your SD cards. That is also assuming that an emuNAND is required at all, though. I know that that's an initial feature of Atomsphere, but look at how the 3DS scene started out and where it is nowProblem again is Emunand lol... Either you will have a huge amount of different emunands each SD one or if you want just one and all data in it good luck backing up all the time and keep updating data on all M-SDs...
That's the reason why I still have Gateway on my 3DS, I can have 32GBs of games in my gateway micro SD and just a few games on the main big SD 16GB for emunand with all my data...
And anyway on 3DS we don't need huge amount of space while on Switch I'm wondering when most triple A games will be getting 50GB for a single game...
Ps: I like having lots of games and hate to delete stuff to test new stuff...
