Hacking Vita with enzo but no vitashell

I have bough vita 2000 with enzo-henkaku but no vitashell there. In meanwhile I have bought microsd and vita adapter, but card is not recognized. Also, I have tried following on “installing h-encore” on vita.hacks.guide to activate vitashell but when I try to transfer files I get message that I need memory card for transfer.

can anyone please help with this and has any idea what can I do?

Thank you, yes, I ordered one and will try it when it arrives. But thought worth checking if there is any alternative while waiting for card.

Probably you can't do anything the moment, but I would recommend downgrading to 3.60 if you want to after you get the memory card, you don't have to jump through hoop to get setup on 3.60, also 3.60 come with molecular shell.

that is odd. the 2000 series has internal memory as you can see, so it's weird that it won't let you install to that. have you tried taking out the sd2vita, then trying h-encore to install vita shell? you may have to install yamt. that could be why it's not showing anything, but it's strange if it's affecting the internal memory card as well.

i agree, that’s why I placed pic of internal memory ad my understanding is that lite is coming with 1gb so that should cover it. Only idea is that perhaps vita can’t find microsd memory card as it came without it but just adapter.

yamt is the best sd2vita driver. you need one installed to use sd2vita.

Ah, thank you, but without vitashell i don’t think I can install anything?

you would need a way to install other things or at least ftp to the appropriate location. can't really do much with the vita without vita shell.

I downgraded both vita and pstv from 3.65. I'm on 3.60 with both now.

I think the vita guide explains how to downgrade. I didn't use a guide myself, since I was pretty confident in going at it alone.

Thank you both @godreborn and @Hayato213 for advices and trying to help, really appreciated and yes, it seems that without vitashell I’m stuck until vita card arrives as downgrading also requires it It seems my purchase came with quite a challenge.

not sure what else to suggest. when you get vita shell installed, you can check if the internal memory card (imc in vita shell iirc) is being read at all.

Try rebooting the vita and hold L1 at power on until the seizure warning to disable plugins.

Maybe you bought a vita with plugins installed already (previously hacked) Only guess I have right now.

You have to Format your Sd-card with a tool to get a spcial driver on it! You need this zzBlank.img file to get it work (search google).
To get your vitashell back you need to search after" Silica and Pina". Downgrade to 3.60 is an Option but i would avoid it and stay forever on 3.65(because you can use B200 cheat codes for games, and belive me you will need it soon or later:-)

I don't think that's going to work until he figures out why internal storage isn't being detected. he has 0 space atm.

I think @Anderxale has the right idea. it could be a plugin that's messing something up. I see he has henkaku settings, so the config.txt seems to be detected.

I think tomberyx got the final answer. I think their vita is looking for the sd2vita as internal storage and the vita can't read the sd because it hasn't been formatted zblank.

Probably the previous owner used sd2vita to replace internal storage because they wanted to use the memory card. Then sold the vita without a memory card or sd2vita.

L1 at boot can confirm this (should have 1GB with plugins disabled). A memory card should work or a zblank formatted sd should work.

I've heard conflicting reports about the zzblank. its purpose is to ensure that there's only one partition on the memory card. however, it's said that it's required. I don't know if that's true, but that's pretty much what it's doing when you flash it.

@godreborn ,maybe it would take a firmware restore and an internal memory format,because i think the previous owner has messed up the whole PS Vita.
