No, it literally is brighter.
No it isn't. There are enough comparisons by reviewers that the screen looks like that thanks to darker blacks yellow/golds and more vivid colours in general. Also 1 thing worth mentioning the lcd screens produces motion blur with fast moving images wich i absolutely hate. Also an lcd screen outputs lines when an oled screen doesn't. Also that brighter screen you're talking about is called light polution ! It's something LCD screens suffer a lot from when OLED doesn't !. The only reason someone would want a slim is it being a bit lighter and has 1 hour of extra battery life but i prefer the better screen.

Why would I lie? I'm telling you my Slim is brighter. Judge for yourself. (Top: Slim, Bottom OLED, both at max brightness)

The OLED is good for anime games as those games don't need color accuracy and look gorgeous. For games with real life looks, I prefer the color accuracy of the Slim.

I'm thinking about getting the Vita Slim with 8gb memory card. Is it possible to change the memory card without doing the transfer and all those things? I'm planning to get a 16gb memory card after, can I rotate between those 2 memory cards and play each memory card's games on it ( like PSP ) ?

Yes you can. You can even switch the card between different vitas or PSTV, when you feel like looking at a bigger screen.
Honestly if you only want to play vita exclusives, get a PSTV and DS4 Controller. It hurts my eyes to read texts on the vita screen.
PSTV: ~ 40 eur, used 25-30
DS4: ~ 60 eur, used 40

The only downside of PSTV is that it's hard to play games with touchpad functions (most of them are pervy games with boring plots and mechanic anyways).

Just use Vitashell (the file explorer homebrew), go to folder ux0: and delete the file name id.dat. That's it.
This file is created everytime you boot the card on a new console and tell the card which console it belongs to. If you delete it, other consoles can use it without having to format.

Edit: this is to use one card on different consoles. On the other side, one vita can use as many different cards as you want.

So basically whenever I want to swap between memory cards, I just have to delete the id.dat. Does this only apply to those who swap between 2 accounts? I'm going to use henkaku to get games on a memory card and the other one, so I can just switch without this process ? Should I install henkaku on both cards ?

The Slim feels way nicer to hold in my opinion. I also love it's battery life too and the fact that it uses a micro-usb cable. I bought a 1000 and 2000 model last month from Amazon to decide which I wanted to keep. Sure the 1000 feels like it's built a little more secure but it's way more heavy/bulky and unless you get one brand new, the joysticks often feel pretty loose. I ended up sticking with the 2000, however I ultimately returned it to get a brand-new blue slim so I could put Henkaku on it. OLED also consumes more battery so I'm perfectly happy with the LCD screen. I also have agree with WiiUBricker, the 2000 model was brighter. After doing a comparison, it's clear (atleast to me) why Sony upgraded the Vita to a slim model. It's sleeker, comes in cool colors, has an insane amount of battery, and uses a micro-usb cable.

Also, did I mention that it feels way nicer to hold? lol

Same, I prefer the color accuracy of the ps vita slim over crayon/coloring book like colors of the fat ps vita. Plus there is more to the ps vita slim than just the screen which is the only thing people seem to focus on some reason.

    ewww key shops...
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Why do you really want to use key shops nowadays? You're not really paying towards the companies who provided the keys, plus its very sketchy.
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
https://gg.deals/game/bloodstained-ritual-of-the-night/ - I rather use the proper shops, but here are Key shops shown as well. They tell you the risks as well with each shop

  • linuxares @ linuxares:
One of the keyshops is 95% off at the moment (probably humble bundle keys)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
And a small percentage of keys bought with a stolen credit card.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
You never know if the key works or not, they don't provide a guarantee.
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
Sure is... and poor devs get hit with the charge backs

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Exactly.

Thor from "Pirate Software" said its just better to pirate the game than buy from a keyshop if you care about the devs

  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
devs don't get hit with the chargebacks, the keys are free to generate
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    at least on steam
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
Except he said the DEVS get hits with the chargeback cost
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
since the key gets bought with a stolen credit card
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
there's nothing to charge back because the keys don't cost them money to generate in the first place
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
If the game has a crack sure
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Most these crack sites have dead links anymore or the crack don't even work
  • linuxares @ linuxares:
@The Real Jdbye What don't you get? If someone use a stolen creditcard. Then sell said key on G2A. If I the dev sold the game key, I will get the charge back cost. That's how it works, it doesn't matter if I generate 300 keys if 300 of them are bought with stolen credit cards. I never said it was on Steam, but its the dev that gets hit. There is a ton of stories out there if you google it.
