There's a number of ways to install it. First way is to burn it to dvd. If you want to then upgrade your Vista to 7, you can run the disk within windows. You can't upgrade from a 32bit OS to a 64bit one. You can only upgrade from 64bit Vista to 64bit 7.

To do a fresh install, reboot with the disk in your drive. It should boot from the dvd and just follow the prompts. Fresh install I would recommend more then an upgrade. You just have to reinstall your applications again afterwards.

You can also install Windows 7 from a usb flash drive instead of burning it to a dvd. More info on that method below.

Do you have a license key?

You'll love Windows 7. It's miles ahead of Vista. Well...maybe not..."miles". I'll just say, "It's better then Vista". And Vista wasn't all that bad contrary to what most people said.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
