hello, first post, i recent got my 3ds xl, used, with luma3ds, since 3dsxl dosent have native suport to amiibo, i was wondering if we can add amiibo via homebrew or a pc conected, i wasent able to find this in the forum.
thx guys

For principe, yes.
You have to modify some part of the NFC Driver Layer in OS (no clue) and porivide a additional Software Gataeway to a emulator/PC connected Reader.

Theoretically possible, yes. Accomplished, no.

The best workaround at the moment is to buy ntags and write amiibos to them yourself. You can buy them for about $1/ntag.
Aliexpress has them for 34 - 43 cents a piece, in quantities of 100 and 50 respectively. Not a bad deal, considering you can't overwrite one amiibo over another.

Ah. Let me amend my answer. There is no homebrew solution, and you would need to buy one of these http://www.gamestop.com/nintendo-3ds/accessories/3ds-nfc-amiibo-reader/123181

There is no workaround, you need an nfc adaptor. They are $20 here, in Brazil they are probably very expensive - I'm sorry about that.

here in brazil its very expensive, R$200 (minium wage is R$900), around US$60,00
i was looking for a homebrew aplication to do it, without an hardware mod.
thx for the reply
moderators can close this.

Why not buy an amiiqo instead? :)
Its kinda pricey but its worth it. And it support nintendo switch :)
Because he doesn't have any way to read an amiibo (or amiiqo). If you read the thread he has an o3ds, and he is in Brazil so he cannot simply buy an nfc adaptor.
