I just brought a second hand wii, and when i powered it up, it has wii system menu 3.0

so my question is, what is the best Firmware, 4.1 or 4.2????

If i update to 4.1 with Waninkoko_4.1, do i get all stuff from the previous updates or do i have to update to, 3.2 first?

thanks!

4.1 is the best if you have a modchip.

But 4.2 is the same thing as 4.1 besides of course modchip related.

As long as your wii hasn't been region changed then it's good to go. Update via nintendo to 4.2 Then follow the modify any wii guide on top of the board.

Okay! is there any downsides to take 4.2 before 4.1, Im on 3.0 as i sad before! easier to update to 4.2 throw nintendo!

can i do anything in homebrew way on 4.2? Play backed up games throw gamma loader?

Which is why I said to follow the modify any wii guide.

If you have a hard drive I recommend USB loading over Back up launching. BTW Gamma is old, Neogamma is the newest. Neogamma R8Beta15 to be exact.
