    Yeah,

I need to know what are the best specifications for video editing,
    • AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000+ @ 1.81 GHz
    • 1.5GB of RAM
    • 32 Bit Windows 7 Ultimate
    • A pair of 6800GT Nvidia cards in SLi
Can someone give me the name of a piece of software that is paid for, easy-ish to use (as in 'Premiere Elements' Easy) and can do rotoscaping (green screen without the green screen) for a 32bit system. Is Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum Production Suite good?

Don't say Final Cut or Any CS5 video editing software, thanks.

The CPU is generally the limiting factor.

RAM will affect it as well, but after you pass a couple gigs the benefit diminishes, and that's assuming you have a good processor in the first place.

it all depends what type of video editing you are doing, I used after effects fine on a dual core 5200+ with 2 gb ram, but as soon as I tried encore it would grind my machine to a halt, if your just doing video converting say from 1 format to another then those specs are fine, but if your doing video restoration or 3d motion dvd menus your gonna need some better hardware.

as for your rotoscaping issue try this link might help you although at first I didnt know what it was heh

Thanks. Video editing... well, rotoscaping, video/audio layers, nice transitions. More than movie maker, less than vegas pro.

Transitions will generally be be CPU-limited.
