Hacking verify items and links?

ok guys, I think I'm just about ready to make my first flashkit purchases.... can you guys let me know if you think this is a good setup and/or if you've used a similar setup if it works well?

keep in mind, all I want to do is play NDS games.... I'm not interested in other apps. but I would like to be able to play Wifi, etc. as well as "problematic" games like the Castlevania series.

ok, here's what I'm thinking:

Flash: Acekard RPG from bamboogaming - LINK
Firmware: AK410
MSD1: A-Data 4GB class 6 MicroSDHC from new egg - LINK
MSD2: Kingston 2GB from meritline - LINK

sound good? everyone think these companies will easily ship to NY State?

PS - I'm getting the 2nd microSD card in case I have problems with one I can just switch to the other... also, couldn't hurt to have more storage and the Kingston is quite cheap (plus, I've been assured those are genuine Japanese on that site)

Dealextreme sells the AK RPG for $65.09 with free shipping LINK

Their shipping is pretty slow though. I got mine in 15 days.

I've got the same A-Data 4G Class6 from newegg as well. This card seems to work well.

I have a Kingston 2G some time ago, probably from eCost.

PS: Get the AKRPG from DealExtreme or Bamboo, which ever one costs less. IDK which one costs less cuz bamboo is in AU dollars. I personally got my RPG from bamboo though in december.

do you know if there is any way to track your order with deal extreme? if not, are they responsive about customer service?

I own a 2GB Toshiba Japan and can say that it works great too. Basically any japan made toshiba or kingstons are very fast.

And for me customer service is great.

about buying a cyclo DS and one here? We can't help you the best we can if you aren't really going to buy the acekard or the cyclo. You are only most definitely going to get 1 of them not both so I didn't see the need to post that in the cyclo section or if you were going to get a cyclo this in the acekard section. First, tell us for real which flash cart you are getting so we can actually help you out.

They've got all of my orders shipped between 1-5 business days prior to ordering unless they're back ordered.

First set of tracking number comes from HK Post. At the HK Post site, there's a drop-list for various Post Office services around the world. For USPS, the same tracking number works and it allows you to monitor the package.

Customer service replied to my questions almost within 24 hours(due to time difference).

first of all, check the post dates. in doing my research, I decided that the Acekard seems like a better buy. my primary factor in deciding this is that the Cyclo site apparently goes down all the time and their firmware is not open source. thus, that could be a real problem down the line.

I heard the Acekard's firmware is open source.... the capabilities looked comparable and the 1GB internal memory is pretty sweet too.

so, I decided to rethink my purchase and come on here to see if it sounded like a good idea.
